Each of us is constantly dealing with something – be it working on closing past wounds, navigating the present or worrying about the future (all three together most of the time), our brains are constantly working on some thought patterns and trying to make the best out of it.
Sometimes we need to do a bit of troubleshooting on our minds in order to move forward. And the thing is, the more experience I gathered in life, I realized if I don’t shoot my troubles…well, they’ll end up shooting me at one point.
Regrets, worries, all of these thing just keep us stagnating and sometimes it feels like the only way to deal with them is to physically run away. The issue is that all of these are part of us, so when we run, they run with us. If it’s something I learned this year (yes, 2020 has already proven itself to be a wild roller-coaster) is that the best you can do is stay still and go all the way with your thoughts. It’s only in the middle of them that I found the clarity and peace I was so desperately trying to get from the outside world.
At the end of the day, the only thing you truly owe life is trying to be a good partner to yourself and just show some appreciation to the wonders of the world by practicing self care. All the other things – well they’re just nice to have items that you need to make sure are also positive to have in your life.
